I wrote a novel but I’m just posting it online. There is no publisher or editor or agent. Nobody asked for it, nobody’s making money off it. There will be no moment when it is permanently committed to print. It can be changed whenever.
So how am I, someone who obsessively revises things over and over (including this post!), supposed to know when it’s “done”?
