I'm equal amounts surprised and angry that open mobile hardware haven't become a thing yet. I mean, for a desktop computer, I can just waltz into a random computer shop and buy the parts and by the end of the day I can install the OS of my choice and live happily ever after. With the emergence of

But what about my pocket computer? I hate that we're back in the early 80's where you had to settle for a brand.
