I came here from a hashtag search for 'outbox', so at least your hashtag did something!
Maybe you can help, I'm trying to understand the critical mass dynamics for outbox. If I'm on a client using outbox and you are too, then outbox is going to work fine in an isolated mini-Nostr with just the two of us, does that sound right? We can have non-overlapping relay sets and we'll still see each other's posts and all the rest, the fact that many other users are not on outbox-enabled clients doesn't affect the two of us in isolated communication? Or it does?
I've seen it said in several places that x% of the Nostr userbase need to be on outbox-enabled clients for certain outbox dynamics to kick in, and trying to unpack that a little.
