I don't really need to know the actual numbers. Let's accept that casualty reports are wildly, upwardly biased. I bet they'd be less biased if journalists weren't dying faster than aid workers in the region.

The visual evidence of unprecidented destruction is undeniable. The targeting of hospitals and schools is undeniable. The forced starvation is undeniable.

I've got little interest in arguing about precisely estimating these impacts, and I'm a god-damned economist.
