Alas, I quit Twitter the day Musk bought it; this was a while ago, so I thought of it in terms of not wanting to provide free math and physics content to the very annoying richest man in the world, not in terms of "can my voice help save democracy?" I deleted my account with roughly ~50,000 followers. Even if I went back, that influence is gone. Now I'd be mainly posting about politics, not what people actually enjoy from me. It would feel like jumping into the lion pit.
I'm also leaving the US, another thing you recommend against (though you did it yourself, right?).
So, my personal strategy has mainly been to avoid the disaster rather than to lean into it and help save the country. But I do feel some responsibility to try to help out.
