Part of this is Seattle’s ongoing hatred of unhoused people. Instead of figuring out how to build and budget for safe restrooms around transit and downtown (or for, you know, actually housing vulnerable people outside of a fractured shelter system we overpay for compared to permanent housing), they just don’t want anyone to pee in private.
