I think you can see a bit of the front landing gear 1/3rd of the way down and nothing of the rear gear. Maybe they lost hydraulics along with the bird strike? Didn't have time to manually crank it down? No time/not enough thrust for a go-around?

Had they already declared an emergency prior to the bird strike and were coming in for a belly landing or something?
