Buying #Bitcoin (aka ⚡️ fuel) is now available to me in the Fidelity app. Bitcoin is mainstream. It might just be numbers on a screen to many of the new buyers but this integration seems significant.
Fidelity Digital Assets:
“FDA will manage all associated private keys for the Digital Assets, subject to this Agreement. A portion of the Digital Assets maintained for our customers in the omnibus wallets will be held in “cold storage,” meaning they will be held within an offline storage system used by FDA to enhance the security of those Digital Assets. Other Digital Assets maintained for our customers in the omnibus wallets will be held in “hot storage,” meaning they will be held on servers with internet connections to facilitate trading in those Digital Assets. You agree that the allocation of Digital Assets between “hot” and “cold” storage will be determined by FDA from time to time in its sole discretion.
FDA will segregate on its books and records all customer Digital Assets from the proprietary property of FDA; but FDA may maintain in the omnibus wallet an amount of proprietary Digital Assets that are used for operational or other purposes. The ownership of all of your Digital Assets will be clearly recorded on our books and records as belonging to you. We will act as a custodian with respect to Digital Assets held in your Account and will not lend, pledge, or hypothecate your Digital Assets without your consent.”
