Not being snarky here; wouldn't it follow that someone who doesn't have a CS background be more likely to believe bullshit claims well presented? How many doctors buy herbal supplements for their ailments?
Not to mention the political aspect that if a department chair is being bombarded with how "game changing" AI is, wouldn't they be more receptive to proposals that included "AI" in their description?
