Lately, we have been noticing that the groceries we’ve been getting have been a crap shoot in whether or not the item winds up being inedible. Just now, we opened a carton of cream with a best before date of the 31st and it’s sour. Two days ago, I opened a package of noodles and they were rancid. The best before date is two years from now. Three times, jams have had loose lids and needed to be thrown out. I’ve gotten a rancid jar of peanut butter, honey that is definitely NOT honey, rotten meat.
