The difference is the prequels truly had their moments. Of the sequels only The Force Awakens barely rises to adequacy. Harrison Ford's scenes are good, and there are a few darkly humorous bits with Kylo Ren. All other new characters fall flat. The only good new character in The Rise of Skywalker is Babu Frik, and I am not even kidding.
