a) Many of the more intelligent people have noticed the control points and are waiting to see what happens.
b) Normies aren't going to jump to new tech since they mostly follow. Also, most have no chance of understanding key-pairs or anything that's going on.
c) Grifters (other than crypto) have very little motivation to figure out the on-ramps since normies haven't been (are unable to be) herded there. If it's somehow made easy enough for grifters, the environment will be destroyed in a short time.
If the control point problems can't be addressed, then the nostr idea is likely to suffer an ill fate. Perhaps something else can emerge from the project if it doesn't move ahead.
