Curator of Mastodon.art fediblock :newt: (nprofile…ynjf) It's funny to me how comic-book-boogeyman the Nazis have become within the Western consciousness when in reality they were mostly just another government/state with expansionist goals we were geopolitically opposed to for XYZ reasons but we have to paint them as "the absolute evil" to justify WW2, basically. Which, okay, whatever, but the outright over-the-top crazy portrayal of them is just wild to me. They're treated like extraterrestrial or something.
