A friend I haven't seen since 1975, but when we were young revolutionaries I was in her apartment every day for years, died yesterday morning, evidently of a heart attack. We reconnected on Facebook around 2007, and have commented, liked, shared, and direct messaged since. I heard she was gone on FB from her daughter, who was an infant when I last saw her.
This hurts. The people from my past who I am trying so hard to keep because they define who I've become are dying one-by-one around me.
