I don’t think, “it only works on Pixels for now” is really a disqualifier when compared to the status quo.
To be clear, I’m not saying, “abandon all the Linux mobile efforts and pivot to GTK-on-Android!” or anything. But it sure seems like making it easier for people to get and test our apps—even if it’s a somewhat nerdy process that’s limited to Pixels—is very worthwhile.
