I agree with both your statements, although I also believe that "caveat emptor" is only valid if the buyer actually has the expertise necessary to understand the products/services involved in the transaction. Right now, "buyers" of ordinals seem to have little understanding of what's actually happening or what it is they're acquiring. Even bitcoin veterans seem to be confused in spaces.

So in this case, where do we lean? Scam or Due diligence?
Honestly wondering myself.
