Much discussion ensued. They were working to Dutch law and haven't got themselves a geolocation service.
The lesson I think is "consent stuff is hard, but worth doing. Especially if you're selling cookie banners as a service".
Also they are loading fonts directly from Google servers. That's a no-no according to a German ruling.
In their defence, they took my criticism in stride and I ended up feeling bad for being rude.
