I am eternally baffled by people who like other people based on similarity. What can you learn from someone who is exactly like you? How long can one possibly be fascinated by the face they see in the mirror?
One of the things I love best about #ActuallyAutistic community is its diversity.
We all share brain type, and that is awesome, but aside from that, we are incredibly diverse. We are of all nationalities, all genders, all ethnicities, all faiths, all cultures, all social classes, all ages etc. The wealth of knowledge, experience, diversity of viewpoints is incredible.
And so...hanging with my neurokin makes me feel very, very wealthy.
