I love CalVer. I don’t get a vote but I prefer #2 and #3 because even 3 feels like it has baggage from the 2-to-3 era. Not my hill though but I suspect the community will drop the 3 either way because its more natural to say the Python 2024 release than the Python 3 dot 24 release.
