In a way I feel that nostr IS the solution to those problems on other platforms. That said, there have been some attempts at creating communities on here. Satellite.earth is one example.
PABLOF7z (npub1l2v…ajft) recently posted about making nostr better for communities in the new year. Not sure what specifically he has in mind but he’s one to follow if you don’t already.
