custodial lightning still doesn't get you out of liquidity and routing issues. I have had payments from custodial lightning wallets fail many times. you have to send your payment from a big and well connected node to another big and well connected node or you can just forget about it. the whole design should be scrapped in favor of rollups or drivechains, or just using an altcoin.
