I'm not sure if it's good or bad for a government to support Bitcoin. It makes me wonder what could be next—will they try to control it? Maybe they'll require everyone to register their wallets and start taxing them. We know how governments operate; they're always after more revenue, constantly tweaking the tax system to take in more.
So, is it really a good thing for a government to back Bitcoin? Maybe it would be better if they ignored it entirely. After all, taxes often feel like theft.
