SwiftData is really just CoreData in a trench coat. Sure it’s a nice coat, but inside it still has all the familiar restrictions and issues 😞
I was really hoping for a system built with swift concurrency in mind, with Sendable model types. SwiftData models _must_ be classes and cannot be Sendable.
SwiftData so far seems like the minimum change they could get away with. I truly hope to be proven wrong in the coming days.
