tbh i still don't get why we need pipewire for screencast, even in a wayland context
compositor -> xdg-portal -> pipewire -> client (but through the xdg-portal?)
why pipewire, why couldn't the portal just give the application raw frames from the compositor? (with damage tracking done, obv)
