So this was pretty good. Lots of great effects and scenes. The core family characters are solid. The medium ‘Tangina Barrons’ is an all timer.

I think the plot was super basic, essentially just a framework to hang the special effects scenes on.

The tone is weird, flipping between family scenes and weird jokes, and then intense ghost and horror scenes. It’s like a tamed down Evil Dead, or an extreme ET/Ghostbusters.

But overall I liked it.
