My process is just to improv melodies as soon as my hands find a progression that inspires me. I think I fear that taking the time to transpose keys will kill the momentum, so I just charge blindly forward, voice straining beyond its comfort zone.

Funny enough, I was just saying to my wife this morning that I should find a real singer to do this one!
