-International Events-
1. Israel tells civilians to evacuate as it launches widespread strikes in southern Lebanon: Israel launched more than 80 airstrikes, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency. "The IDF will engage in extensive, precise strikes, against terror targets which have been embedded widely throughout Lebanon," Israel Defense Forces spokesperson said. (CBS)

2. Iran’s Guards ban communication devices after Hezbollah device explosions: Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has ordered all members to stop using any type of communication device after thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah members in Lebanon blew up in deadly attacks last week, two senior Iranian security officials told Reuters. (TimesOfIsrael)

3. UN reform plan adopted despite Russian opposition: "The Pact for the Future has been adopted by member countries by consensus at UN Headquarters in New York. The adoption will help pave the way for greater international cooperation for our common future," the UN official account wrote on X. The pact outlines 56 "actions," including commitments to multilateralism, upholding the UN Charter and peacekeeping. This pact includes declarations of intent to reform the UN Security Council and calls for an adjustment of the international financial system in favor of the so-called Global South. It also calls for renewed efforts to combat climate change, promote disarmament, and guide the development of artificial intelligence. The pact promises to accelerate efforts to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030, intensify the fight against hunger, and promote gender equality and education. -US Events-
1. Manhunt launched for 'multiple shooters' after at least 4 killed and 17 injured in Birmingham: “We believe there was a hit, if you will, on that particular person as far as someone willing to pay money to have that person killed.” The shooting happened outside Hush, a lounge in the city’s historic Five Points South nightlife district. (NBC)

2. National security chiefs on letter backing Kamala Harris include many who signed infamous Hunter Biden doc: A group called the National Security Leaders for America, which bills itself as a bipartisan group of former senior military and national security leaders, published a letter Sunday endorsing Harris for the White House. A total of 741 former high-ranking national security officials signed the letter. Nine high-ranking former national security and military officials who signed a letter Sunday endorsing Vice President Harris’ run for the Oval Office also signed a letter nearly four years ago dismissing Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop as Russian disinformation ahead of the 2020 election. -Regulatory and Legal-
1. Kamala Harris breaks silence on digital assets vowing to encourage innovation as President: She reportedly said: “To build that opportunity economy, I will bring together labor, small business, founders and innovators and major companies. We will partner together to invest in America’s competitiveness, to invest in America’s future. We will encourage innovative technologies like AI and digital assets while protecting consumers and investors.” Harris also promised to establish regulatory clarity for these rapidly evolving sectors. “We will create a safe business environment with clear and consistent rules,” she added. (CryptoSlate) (AC- A purposefully ambiguous statement in the style of a word-salad artist.)

-Central Bank Digital Currencies-
1. BRICS Beats Dollar Dependence: National Currency Settlements Exceed USD Payments: The BRICS bloc might have already overcome its dollar-dependence problem, as the volume of settlements in the national currencies of its member nations has already surpassed the USD-based exchanges. Using the U.S. dollar can lead to expenses that can be avoided when paying with other currencies, BRICS Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Samip Shastri stated. (BitcoinCom)

-Institutional Concerns-
1. Nasdaq's Wins Approval to List Bitcoin Options on BlackRock's ETF: The SEC has approved Nasdaq's request to list and trade options on BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, expanding derivative products linked to Bitcoin. The decision follows amendments addressing market manipulation concerns, setting position limits at 25,000 contracts for IBIT options. (Decrypt)

2. Institutions are no longer aggressively shorting Bitcoin: CME Bitcoin futures net short positions have declined significantly, dropping 75% over the past five months, as reported by CryptoQuant. (CryptoSlate)

-Economic Indicators-
1. US 10-Year Treasury Yield Rises to Kick Off the Week: The yield on the US 10-year Treasury note increased to 3.74%, the highest level in about three weeks, as traders continue to mull the monetary policy outlook, after the Fed started the easing cycle and delivered a jumbo 50bps rate cut. (TradingEconomics)

-Security Incidents and Concerns-
1. Electronic Warfare Spooks Airlines, Pilots and Air-Safety Officials: Pilots, aviation-industry officials and regulators said spoofed Global Positioning System signals are spreading beyond active conflict zones near Ukraine and the Middle East. The attacks started affecting a large number of commercial flights about a year ago, pilots and aviation experts said. The number of flights affected daily has surged from a few dozen in February to more than 1,100 in August. Pilots are meanwhile getting preflight briefings about how to identify potential spoofing and respond—which may at times include turning off certain features or ignoring false “pull up!” commands from a safety system heralded for sharply reducing crashes. (WSJ)

2. US Indicts Two in $260M Bitcoin Heist and Laundering Scheme: Two individuals have been arrested for orchestrating a large-scale cryptocurrency heist, stealing over 4,100 bitcoins. Their complex laundering operation involved using multiple mixers and VPNs to cover their tracks. With the stolen funds, they lived lavishly, buying luxury cars and other high-end items.

-Technology and Science-
1. Nayib Bukele and Elon Musk Discuss AI, Robotics, and Future of Humanity: El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele met with Tesla and Spacex CEO Elon Musk at the Texas Gigafactory, discussing AI, robotics, and humanity’s future. (NYPost) (AC-Bitcoin adoption among hitmen must be on the rise.)

-Bitcoin Sentiment-
1. Fear(0)/Greed(100) Index: 50/100 (Down 4 pts)

Analyst Comments (AC): With the announcement of over 700 National Security officials and the IRS backing VP Harris for president, the deep state is showing its hand, and losing credibility at the same time. The more government officials wade into politics overtly, the more they show themselves to be lackeys for more government power and centralization. Government in the US was designed to be working for the people, the taxpayers of the USA, not politicians who consistently give more power to these officials. We can accept the corruption of the offices of government employees as "just how things are", or work to change this paradigm both from the inside and out. Power projection tools just might be one the mechanisms for this type of change.
