Just curious:
WHO thought it was a good idea to call antifascists "antifa" instead of, you know, "anti-fascist"? Was the full word just too hard to spell? Why didn't it sink in what the ramifications were, that by using this weird neologism "antifa" you gave the fascists a big break by not cornering them with being *against* those against fascism?
My guess: a fascist came up with the term, knowing the anti-fascists would go, duh, okay, sure let's just use that, less letters anyway.
