Rev. Fredrick Douglass Kirkpatrick - Harriet Tubman
Pretty much the best Smithsonian Folkways album ever put out. Kirkpatrick was one of the Deacons for Defense during the height of the civil rights movement. He recorded this album to celebrate Black figures in contemporary folk songs that could be sung along to. This album features Pete Seeger on banjo and Jeanne Humphries on bass.
