- I still find it troubling that a lot of the mainstream criticism of these models (outside of the ethical and environmental impacts of training/inference) tends to be focused on the raw output of the very large proprietary models when in reality more and more generative ai output is the result of sophisticated inter/intra model workflows - workflow tooling has only gotten better, especially for the open weights models.
I don't think it does any side any good to be focused on straw critiques.
