This modern idea that Christ is just some hippie and our non-judgmental buddy is blasphemy, He is God. God may have condescended to us but that does not in any way put us on the same level as Him.
He is merciful, He is longsuffering, He shows us grace, but he is holy and infinitely greater than we are, and we must never forget that fact.
