I just discovered that this mushroom is called “Chicken of the Woods” because it tastes like chicken.
There was a beautiful one growing at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord NH. I took these photos Sept 5th & we have had snow so it is probably gone but omg next time I see one I am alerting my foraging friend.
