This tap/spiggot is set directly into a whinstone wall which is completely uninsulated. No amount of wrapping is likely to stop the tap freezing. The drip, which has become an icicle is the result of human error as the tap would have been dripping just before it froze. If previous years are anything to go by, it will defrost just fine.",
