FWIW if you're doing light emulation - anything PS2 or older really - battery life on the steam deck is going to exceed your expectations. It'll run all day, or close to it.
The only time battery life is a hindrance with that thing is running your average PC games. Witcher 3 will perform great for like an hour and you need it plugged in. Skyrim is marginally better but still pretty draining.
Oblivion though, only plugged it in at night really. It was about the same for when I was playing MGS2 on a PS2 emulator.
