Every morning I wake up I hope the nightmare is over. Instead, it's a thousand times worse. I picture my enslaved ancestors, holed up in a wooden ship for weeks & then ejected into a land that treats them like property, sometimes worse. That takes away their names, their history & still, they persevered under some of the cruelest of conditions. I can surely get through this disaster, if they could survive that one.
