It's just so entangled with US government and powerful people so someone will always make it possible for it to keep going... or so it has been shown for the last 16 years.
I know a lot of smaller companies that are riddled with debt and still keep going for decades... if someone knows someone, the debt doesn't matter as long as there's money for people who keep it alive. Unfortunately.
