Tom Cruise is 62. At a certain point, his age breaks the illusory trance of roles like Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible, which is the entire objective of movies. Huge kudos to him for doing such a fantastic job maintaining his health and strength. But at a certain point it’s better to pass the baton and take more age appropriate roles or transition into a mentor role, both of which he would be fantastic with.
