For a while in August 2011, this juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk made our bird bath its base of operations. This was at our previous home in central NC.
We moved in late 2020 and did have some Red-shouldered Hawks that very loudly ruled over our current neighborhood. Unfortunately, they abruptly vanished this past winter. I have no idea what happened.
