Today my dearest friend and closest neighbor accompanied me to the neighboring village to collect my sewing machine. I'd taken it for a tune up way back in July.

The walk was glorious, and we ended up spending the better part of the morning chatting with the old-timers of the village - getting the inside scoop on the latest snake bite drama on their side of the river.

I came home with my sewing machine and a profound gratitude for this #community that's accepted me as one of their own.
