This weekend's movie is simpler due to competition.

Ghost in the Shell was a manga series that started off comedically, then got full on angst after an arc. When they made the movie, they made the angst arc, but this wound up being insanely popular.

I'd explain it, but honestly all of you have already seen it for sure. Ghost=mind shell=robot body. Cool fighting while people angst and navelgaze. That one chick looks naked but isn't really.
