Tring to capture and turn the CO2 into something stable/solid is going to take most if not more of the energy you got out from burning it in the first place.
Carbon in coal or oil is a wonderfully stable geological store of carbon. You can't get out out, burn it and then put it back and expect to have any useful energy left at the end of it!
