Despite the declaration of war, our winter squash vines were too damaged by squash vine borers to save... so here's today's harvest: quite a few string beans and three slightly underripe candy roaster squash. I'm going to peel and chunk the squash, then freeze it, maybe roast the seeds. The squash flesh won't be as sweet, but maybe I can use it in soup. Ah well, next year I'll try again.
