when people think of "support trans kids" they often imagine a trans kid who's parent is anti-trans, and they cant afford puberty blockers / hrt and their money is going towards helping that.
But the reality is if that kids parent is not supportive of their transition, they cant legally access puberty blockers or hrt. The kids who can access puberty blockers/hrt are the ones who have supportive parents, they have somewhat of a safety net.
the most funded trans charities are trans kids charities which do a huge amount to help trans kids who are kicked out by parents or in danger to them, but for most of the trans kids who dont have the safety net of supportive parents, they will age up and out of the boundaries of those charities before they're able to legally access hormones.
They will be 18, no safety net, no financial support, potentially cut off entirely form family, when they can first start that medical process, and no one is keen to be donating to trans young adults.
