Many of you know from my posts that I minister each week in a memory care center. The residents who live there are in varying stages of dementia. Some seem as cognizant of their surroundings as you or I are aware. Others, not so much.
But every individual man and woman living in places such as those still NEEDS to hear of God's love for them. Every one of them needs to be reminded again and again that God has not forgotten them nor forsaken them.
I meet with the residents for about 30 minutes. I read a scripture or two, play a couple of hymns, and help them make application of the scriptures and the lyrics to their current lives.
Christian, there are dozens of memory care centers within a 10-mile radius of where YOU live. And if you love Jesus, if you are concerned for the souls of men and women, and if you have even a marginal knowledge of Scripture, then YOU ARE EMINENTLY QUALIFIED to do what I do at these places.
God can use YOU to reach those who are not being reached with the message of Christ’s ongoing love for them. God can use YOU to remind them He has not forgotten them. Will you go?
I keep outlines of everything I teach during those sessions, and I will happily make them available to anyone who asks.
