Today was quite a day…
It started with an early drive to a NEFF service centre in the hope they could fix our oven… it took them one hour and a small micro switch and it was back up and running.
€90 later we were off to MAN service in Athens to try and buy some more coolant - we like to carry a few litres spare just in case and trying to find the right one can be difficult, so we figured MAN would be a good first port of call - indeed it proved a good guess but they sent us 5km back up the road to a different shop having called ahead for us. Ironically it was about 400m away from the Lidl car park we parked in a few nights ago 🤣
With that sorted we went to find fuel. It’s our biggest expense so we like to hunt around for the cheapest place we can find. A little detour saved us about €30 over the cost of diesel in most of the fuel stations. Hopefully this tank gets us to Turkey where the price drops further 🤞
From there, we drove nearly 200km north to Thermopylae - the site of the battle of the Spartan 300 against the Persians and also a place for hot springs (Thermo in the name being a bit of a giveaway!) so how do you chill out after a very long drive?
Park next to the springs and go for a soak in what is essentially our back garden.
Think we’ll have to take a float tomorrow morning too.
