Yes. There are some chunks of the PleromaFE that might not work, but I'm still shooting for enough compatibility that you can use a stock PleromaFE. The rest of it is still accurate.

Yeah, to talk to non-Revolver ActivityPub instances there will still have to be public instances associated with domains, but the problems with instances will be solved: storage, hosting, liability, all of that.

Yes. There are a lot of P2P systems, SSB is kind of designed around everything being walled off. The "Pub" in ActivityPub and LitePub is incompatible with that kind of approach, and I'm writing it to replace the software running on FSE, so it's got to talk to fedi: I'm on fedi because I like fedi. If you look at Twister, that's closer. It had some architectural problems, but the intended functionality is closer to that than it is to SSB.
