I said, Good Morning Berlin!

there’s a constant midnight haze over the city

thick and swirly, makes you wanna dance

like your toes won’t ever go numb

and your heart won’t ever stop

I raced around the floor

picking up graffiti with my fingertips

placing letters on the pavement

while a handsome friend held my gaze

and he said, no don’t go!

They say there’s something in the water,

how can everyone sparkle in combat boots and mesh jumpers?

lips like a God, a kinda twinkle I felt when we went back to back,

I swear we moved to the same beat for hours,

even though we could’ve gone on for days.

How could we be so young in a single instant,

teasing time as I take another shot and throw myself into the sounds,

how will I remember my shoes when my feet have no purpose?

I can only imagine dying with regrets,

and so I learned how to do say fuck it and follow the Devil.

But I had a cigarette covered breakfast instead

and looking at the sun,

I said, Good Morning Berlin!
