This is going to be my third Dubbel recipe. My first one was essentially taken from Greg Hughes' book "Home Brew Beer" and adapted to the use of homegrown hops and BE-256 dry yeast. Great book, great recipe but written for homebrewers that can't do multi step mashes and a bit too sweet for my taste.
The second one was super experimental. I wanted to see what a combination of Weyermann Abbey Malt and beet sugar syrup would do. Not bad but a bit earthy due to the syrup.
