I'm not even being snarky. Accepting your child, at any age, for who they are, but not excusing when they do wrong is something Elizabeth Holmes and Sam Bankman-Fried’s parents failed to do. Biden, embracing his child but accepting the judgment, is engaged in good parenting.
(That said, what he was convicted for was ridiculous in terms of how bad the law was written. The tax charges seem more credible and worse, but financial and should be resolved with penalties.)
