Hey #gardening friends, how do I deal with my shaggy gardenia? When we moved here, it was in bad shape on a busted trellis, so I cut it all the way back and gave it a new trellis. A couple inches of compost on the root ball and three years later it’s bigger than ever!
Last year I coaxed the leading vines onto (what else) hay strings to get it to the roof. But it’s grown even more and there are so many new tendrils! Do I cut them? How do I attach the many small vines to support strings? How, in short, do I become the one in charge of this situation?
